HALLOWEEN PARADE UPDATE: The Parade is ON for today. The Upper Elementary will begin walking behind the Scottville Elementary, heading north towards the middle school. We will loop around and end at the Upper Elementary (route is posted below). Please see the attached flyer for the walking route and more information.
We just wanted to let all our parents and families know that due to participant cancellations/inclement weather out in the open, our trunk or treat that was scheduled at the middle school tonight from 6-8 will be cancelled. There will be a Trunk or Treat happening at Our Savior Lutheran Church from 4:30 - 5:30 tonight for those that would be interested.
The MCC Cross Country Teams sponsored their Annual Monster Mile on Wednesday, October 25! We would like to send out a congratulations to the Upper Elementary medal winners: Genevieve Cole (3rd grade), Alexa Rodriguez-Bautista (3rd grade), Andrey Reid (3rd grade), Addisyn Monton (3rd grade), Lincoln Edmondson (4th grade), Waylon Thorne (4th grade), Barrett Pasco (5th grade), Harper Stepka (4th grade), and Penelope Shirey (4th grade)!
Good afternoon! Here is the November issue of the Upper Elementary Newsletter. We would like to send out congratulations to Felicity Gaitan, Delilah Soberalski, and Leeum Wittlieff on being nominated and selected for October Students of the Month! November 7th is ELECTION DAY!!! We will have a half day on November 22 and there will be no school on November 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving; and Picture Re-take day is November 27!
Halloween is just around the corner and we'll once again be celebrating with our annual Halloween Parade! We would like to extend the invite to parents, grandparents, and community members to find a spot along the route and support our students! See the attached flyer for the route and time!

On November 10 in the MCC High School Gym, there will be a Tall Cop presentation with Deputy Gomez over the topic of Digital Awareness and Youth Issues Due to Social Media; starting at 5:00pm with a Meet and Greet & GIVEAWAYS!!! "Crunch" day will be held on Thursday October 12th Be sure to get your local grown apple at Lunch. We will all “CRUNCH” together for a fun photo! Crunch encourages healthy eating and supports farm to school and other local food purchasing initiatives throughout the region. It’s also a fun way to connect food and agriculture to classroom curricula – from science to art & more!

Our annual fun color run was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you!!!

The forecast looks great, the prizes are in, the powder is colorful, and the volunteers are ready- we'll see y'all TOMORROW 9/29 for the Color Run! Don't miss it, registration at 6pm at the High School.
September 29th will be our 16th Annual Walk/Run 4 Fun! Registration will start at 6:00 pm at just outside the High School. The FunRun will start around 6:30 and end around 7:30 pm. Pledge level prizes; cooler, umbrella, drawstring bag, and t-shirts; will be handed out and a drawing at the end for lots of prizes including a HOVERBOARD! This is our PTC’s main fundraiser for many fun things; such as field trips, positive classroom rewards, and playground equipment and maintenance! We appreciate your contribution and participation! Your efforts provide great opportunities for our children! Have a great day in Spartan Country!
Our Annual PTC Color Run is coming up fast! Join us for this fun-filled event next Friday, September 29th at the High School. Registration begins at 6:00 and event will be held from 6:30 - 7:30. Every dollar pledged goes to our PTC and provides things such as playground equipment, technology for the classrooms, covers costs of field trips and other learning experiences for our students. The children have been getting very excited about the great MCC gear and other prizes they can earn by participating. Here are a few examples along with more information about the event. (The t-shirt shown is from last year, we have a new one for this year). We look forward to seeing everyone that evening!!!
