Kids Heart Challenge flyers will be coming home today! It will be happening in PE class the week of February 20-23. The kick-off assembly will be February 9. This is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association, and all students will be bringing home an envelope (at a later date) to be able to collect cash or check donations and also a paper with a QR code and website for virtual donations. The easiest way to participate is with the app. To download the app; you can go to your app store (search “Kids Heart Challenge”) or scan the QR code on the information sheet. You can also join/donate by visiting the website heart.org/schools. All donations are due by February 23 so that “thank you” gifts can be ordered. In the past, our two elementary schools have raised over $10,000.00, which also gave the two schools $200.00 in gift certificates to be used on new PE equipment. We will be jumping rope in class starting February 12th in preparation for this event. It will take place during your child’s PE class so all will be jumping regardless of whether or not they participate in the fundraising portion. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. Stay healthy!
