Students in Tech Math fostered both academic skills and building a positive classroom community through Yahtzee. Playing Yahtzee was an engaging way to reinforce key mathematical concepts including probability, numerical reasoning, and strategic decision making. In addition, working in small groups encouraged collaboration and positive peer interactions as students discussed strategies, supported one another with math calculations, and explained their thinking throughout the game. After the game students reflected upon math connections and discussed key concepts will tie into future lessons.
