Brody Walle finished 6th overall last night out of 42 at the LDN Spelling Bee. He competed against 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders across the county. Way to go Brody! Spartan Proud!

Kids Heart Challenge Reminder: This is the final week for the children to collect money for the Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association.

Our school district was in contact with law enforcement and took all necessary steps to assure your child's safety until the suspect was apprehended.

One final reminder.....tomorrow, Oct 18 is a half day for students. We release children at 11:30. Our staff will be spending the afternoon learning how trauma is impacting our children, and strategies to implement in the classroom. This is a top priority for MCC; providing the best education possible for ALL our children.

Kindness changes the world! Posters created for Kindness Week at MCC Upper Elementary! Our children ARE making a difference!





It’s “Kindness Week” at the UE! Check out the daily practices which are designed to enhance our building wide culture!


I’m thrilled about next week’s anti-bully assembly.....”Not In Our School.” We teach strategies to face bullying head on in an empowering way. The story I penned “The Moment Time Stood Still,” which supports this project, arrived just in time today! I can’t wait to provide a copy for every third grade family at Upper Elementary, and look forward to reading it to our entire community in March! Together we will!
