Back to School

August 10, 2024

Dear parents and students,

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer and are ready to take on another school year.  Here are some important upcoming events for your calendar:

Pre-registration will be held on August 26th & 27th. Students will get their school pictures taken as well as receive a copy of their schedule and locker assignments. Picture information is included with this letter. All students need to get pictures taken (this includes all seniors and those students that are not buying a package) for their school ID card.   Students should report at the following times:

Seniors – August 26, 9:00am – 11:00am

Freshmen – August 26, 1:00pm – 3:00pm (orientation)

Juniors – August 27, 9:00am – 11:00am

Sophomores – August 27, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

All classes except for freshmen can come in at any time during your window to take care of pre-registration – it should take no longer than 15 minutes depending on how many students are in front of you. Freshmen are asked to be here by 1:00pm and can be picked up at 3:00pm as they will be here for the entire time. If you cannot make your scheduled time you are welcome to come in to another session after your group has had their scheduled time.

Drops/Adds: Any student wishing to make changes to their schedule may do so after their scheduled pre-registration time via email. Freshmen and Sophomores email Mrs. Houser at khouser@mccschools.org.  Juniors and Seniors email Mrs. Vidak at jvidak@mccschools.org

Incoming freshmen events:

We will have a parent meeting on Monday, August 26th at 7:00pm in the high school gym for all incoming freshmen  parents. This meeting will last approximately 45 minutes.

Freshmen orientation will take place on Monday, August 26th in the high school. This is for students only. We will meet in the gymnasium at 1:00pm and will last until approximately 3:00pm.

Please remember that on the first day of school (Tuesday, September 3rd) we have a ½ day of school with dismissal at 11:30am. Enjoy the rest of your summer, Spartans!  Our staff is excited to see you again!
