MCC Family, 

We are into the final week of the school year which means that this is the final MCC newsletter of the year.  In this edition, the main thing is school wrap up including the final exam schedule.  Other updates and recognition are also in this newsletter. 

As mentioned, this is the final week of school.  Students will have normal days until Thursday and Friday.  Friday is the final day of school and is a ½ day.  School on Friday is dismissed at 11:30 am and a bag lunch will be provided.  Students keep their school-issued Chromebooks for the summer but are responsible for them.  CTE is now done for the year.  If you have a child who is a CTE student and rides the bus to and from school, they may stay in the cafeteria or the library with permission.  This is until they have a class schedule as usual at MCC.  Here is our exam schedule:

Did you know:

  • Spring sports have wrapped up with a highlight of seven Spartans participating in the state meet in track and field this year.  

  • Graduation was held on Friday of Memorial Day weekend.  82 seniors graduated this year.  Thanks to Mr. Davila and Mr. Storvik for representing the board at our commencement.  

  • The annual student council awards were held on May 21st.  The biggest awards were given to our Outstanding Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior.  The winners were:

Outstanding Junior- Elliette Thomas

Outstanding Senior-Riley Mast

  • We are losing two staff members to retirement this year.  We thank Mr. Tom Richert for over 30 years of service to MCC.  We also thank Mrs. Sharon Spencer as she retires from our library and online learning position. Our students and staff will miss both.  

  • Our Spartans of the Month for May were:

The staff at MCC High School wishes you a safe and very happy summer with your families.  We look forward to seeing you all again after Labor Day as we begin the 2024-25 school year. Go, Spartans!
